Surrey Heath Liberal Democrats would like to hear from you if you would be interested in finding out more information about becoming a Liberal Democrat Councillor.
The next set of local elections in Surrey Heath will be in May 2007, when all 40 seats for Surrey Heath Borough Council will be up for re-election. The Council's make-up is currently: Conservative - 22, Liberal Democrat - 13, Labour - 3, Independent - 2.
There will also be elections in Ash, Ash Vale and Tongham for Guildford Borough Council.
Alongside the elections for our Borough Councils, there will also be elections in those areas where there is a Parish Council. These are - Ash Parish Council, Chobham Parish Council, Bisley Parish Council, West End Parish Council, and the largest in our area, Windlesham Parish Council, which covers Bagshot, Lightwater and Windlesham.
The Liberal Democrats are an open and democratic party and would welcome contact from anyone who lives or works in Surrey Heath, and who shares our values and philosophy. You must be 18 or over at the time of the election in order to stand.
Surrey Heath Liberal Democrats will provide training and support to all candidates to enable them to perform to the best of their abilities.
