Cllr Duncan Clark is concerned at the impact that wider NHS cuts in Surrey will have on our local services.
Lib Dems across Surrey are campaigning hard against potentially savage NHS cuts.
Hospitals facing potential closure include the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford and St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey. Services at Ashford and Epsom hospitals could also face cutbacks.
Surrey Heath Liberal Democrats believe that if the threatened cuts are carried out, extra pressure will be placed on our local Frimley Park Hospital.
Surrey Heath Councillor Duncan Clark said, "Surrey is facing NHS cuts of a level not seen since the Conservatives were in power. They must be stopped."
For years the Labour Government has failed to give proper funding to local health services. Now local health bosses are being forced to make large cuts to reduce debts.
Cllr Duncan Clark said, "The Labour Government cuts will put patients' lives at risk. The people of Surrey must unite to oppose these dangerous cuts."
Lib Dem Health Spokesman Steve Webb MP added, "It would be criminal to see quality NHS services like those in Surrey closed."
