Lightwater Liberal Democrats have condemned Tory controlled Surrey Heath Borough Council for removing recycling facilities from their location adjacent to Budgens in Lightwater village centre.
Lightwater Liberal Democrats resident survey shows that local residents want their recycling back.
Cllr Patricia Pinder has the agreement of Budgens, now all that is needed is for the Council to put the recycling bins back!
Discussions took place in September between Budgens manager, Mike Duffy, Cllr Patricia Pinder of Lightwater, Cllr Judy Douch for West End and a council representative. An agreement was made that in the future a new smaller truck with fewer, smaller , containers would be used. This would facilitate more frequent collections and keep the site tidier.

Having waited for four months for the delivery of new containers the council has now reneged on this agreement. The officer concerned has stated that the recycling will not be replaced. Councillor Patricia Pinder and Cllr Judy douch will be looking into the matter.
Meanwhile if you would like the council to know your views on this, write to the Portfolio Holder for recycling -- Councillor Vivienne Chapman,Surrey Heath House, Knoll, Camberley Road . Surrey GU15 3HD
