David Whitcroft launches "A Programme for Change"
Surrey Heath Liberal Democrats have today released their manifesto for the Council elections on Thursday, May 3rd. The document is entitled "Programme For Change", and contains a comprehensive programme of ideas, targets and commitments that would be adopted by local Liberal Democrats should they gain control of Surrey Heath Council in these elections.
The Manifesto is organised into a number of major policy themes:
Councillor David Whitcroft, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Council Group at Surrey Heath Borough Council, said: "Surrey Heath is at a cross-roads. The elections in 2007 will present a clear choice for residents, between a continuation of the poor management from a Conservative administration devoid of vision and a new start under the Liberal Democrats. This document is about the vision that Liberal Democrats have for how Surrey Heath can and must change to provide the services that residents have a right to expect at a price that they can afford."
The Manifesto is published on the Lib Dem website, where each of the major policy strands can be examined.
