The plan to put a mobile phone mast just off College Ride, Bagshot has been stopped.
Many local residents had objected and had raised a petition against it. Liberal Democrat councillors Meurig Williams and Gret Woodason attended the Planning meeting on 22nd September to speak up for them.
They pressed for the mast site to be taken away from people's homes and the Bagshot Playing Fields, to the far end of the Hotel car park. We hear now that this idea carried the day, and residents have been told that the proposed mast will be re-sited.
Gret Woodason was thrilled with the decision and said "I was delighted with the outcome of the proposed mast at College Ride. The Mast was re-sited in a more appropriate place, and provided proof that active residents and local councillors working together really can make a positive difference."
