Susan Kramer MP for the Richmond Park constituency, a former London Mayoral Candidate, attended a public meeting in Camberley on Friday evening.

Cindy Ferguson, Liberal Democrat County Council Candidate for Frimley Green and Mytchett Division, said "Susan put forward a very strong case for opposing the third runway at Heathrow. Many of her arguments were similar to those of residents who suffer living under the flight path of Farnborough Airfield."

County Council Candidate for Heatherside and Parkside, Frances Bennie said "We were delighted to welcome Susan to Camberley, it was an opportunity for everyone to discuss the expansion of Heathrow Airport, an issue Susan is campaigning on."
Susan was elected to Parliament in May 2005 and appointed to the Treasury Team shortly afterward. She served on the Treasury Select Committee from May 2005 until March 2006 when she took up the role as the International Development Secretary for the Liberal Democrat Shadow Cabinet. She moved to Trade and Industry and then Transport. Most recently in January 2008, Susan was appointed Liberal Democrat Families Spokesperson. Susan first made her mark in politics as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of London in 2000, campaigning to stop the privatisation of the Tube and for dedicated local police teams. She was a board member of Transport for London and has served locally as a school Governor. Susan is Patron of the Three Wings Trust and HomeStart in her constituency.
