The Borough is divided into 6 county divisions and there is one successfully elected candidate for each division:

In CAMBERLEY EAST (TOWN, OLD DEAN and ST PAULS) your candidate is David Whitcroft.

David Whitcroft Davidwas first elected to Surrey Heath Council in 1991 and was the Leader of the Lib Dem Group. He sat on every committee of the Council and was Chair of the Policy & Resources Scrutiny Committee for a couple of years until the majority Conservative Group voted him off because he was doing far too a good job for their comfort!

He also served as Surrey County Councillor for Frimley Green, Mytchett & Deepcut for four years.

David has also been involved with a number of local charities including Disability Initiative and the local Age Concern which he chaired for a number of years.

He says, "Together with other Liberal Democrat candidates I will seek to overcome Tory financial ineptitude on the County Council which has resulted in poor service provision. A recent external financial report commissioned by the County Council, at a cost of nearly £25,000, criticised the poor financial planning and the weakness in Surrey's financial resilience and this cannot be allowed to continue."
