Thank you to everybody in Surrey Heath constituency for the amazing welcome I have had over recent weeks.
This has been an election campaign that nobody really wanted. Theresa May denied it was going to happen.
Despite this everybody got stuck In and we had an amazing local campaign. Every household had at least one mailing delivered by Royal Mail. We delivered a further leaflet right across the area. We knocked on many doors across the constituency.
It is clear that Liberal Democrats are the main challengers to Conservative Michael Gove. The Labour candidate lives in London and knows little of our area.
As the local candidate, living on the edge of the constituency, I know the area and its issues well. I would be a constituency MP.
Liberal Democrat policies such as one penny on income tax to fund health and social care have proved very popular with voters. Local people want to see infant school children continue to get a feee hot meal and children from less advantaged backgrounds get extra funding at school. The cost of a home is beyond the reach of large numbers of young people so the Liberal Democrat Rent to Own scheme was welcomed.
Please do vote on Thursday. If Mr Gove is not what you want support me and the Liberal Democrats for a constituency MP, properly funded health, social care and education and a chance to get on the housing ladder.
